Sydney University are still a chance of winning the NEAFL minor premiership depending on results in the final round of the competition proper this Saturday.

Four teams are locked on 44 points at the top of the ladder, with Southport leading the way on percentages ahead of Sydney, Aspley and Sydney University. Canberra (40) and Brisbane (38) make up the top six.

Southport will meet last-placed Redland, Sydney take on eighth-placed Gold Coast, Aspley will play Canberra and Sydney University will meet ninth-placed Northern Territory Thunder in Round 21. Should several upsets occur, the Students could still top the ladder leading into the qualifying finals.

Sydney University had 11 goal scorers in their 47-point win over Canberra at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday, with Tristan Davies and Jacob Derickx each kicking three.

Meanwhile, Sydney University finished third in the Sydney Premier Division following their 88-point win over Canberra in the final round of the competition proper at Fairfax Reserve on Saturday.

North Shore collected the minor premiership on 64 points, with UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs (48), Sydney University (44), Manly Warringah Wolves (44) and East Coast Eagles (44) making up the top five.

Sydney University will take on UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs at Henson Park, with Manly Warringah and East Coast Eagles meeting at Blacktown International Sportspark in the two elimination finals on Sunday.

Sydney University won the Premier Reserve Division minor premiership finishing the season on 64 points, with Pennant Hills (60), UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs (48), East Coast Eagles (44) and North Shore Bombers (36) making up the top five.

The Students will have a week off while the Eagles and Bombers and Demons and Bulldogs fight out elimination finals.

Sydney University also finished on top of the ladder in the Division One competition and will fight out a major semi-final against Pennant Hills at Rosedale Park this Saturday. North Shore Bombers and Randwick City Saints will contest the minor semi-final.

The Students also won the Division Two minor premiership and will have a week off while UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs and Camden Cats, and UTS Bats and Pennant Hills fight out elimination finals.

Camden cats earnt a week off in winning the Division Three minor premiership, with Macquarie University and Pennant Hills and Sydney University and UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs to fight out elimination finals.

The Sydney University Under 19 Division One side also made the semi-finals after finishing fourth on the ladder. They’ll meet North Shore Bombers in the minor semi-final, with UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs and St George Dragons to contest the major semi-final.
