Sydney University Australian National Football Club will contest grand finals in four divisions of the Sydney Men’s Premier competition this Saturday.

The Students’ Premier Division side accounted for minor premiers North Shore Bombers 62-43 in their preliminary final at Blacktown International Sportspark (BIS) on Saturday to book a grand final berth against UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs at the same venue. Tristan Davies slotted six of Sydney University’s eight goals against the Bombers.

SUANFL will also contest the Reserve Division, Division Two and Division Three flags. A possible clean sweep was thwarted when the Division One side lost their grand final to Pennant Hills Demons at BIS on Saturday. In a close encounter, the Demons triumphed 54-46, kicking eight goals from 14 attempts, while the Students only landed six from 16 shots.

After finishing third on the ladder behind North Shore Bombers and UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs SUANFL’s Premier side lost their elimination final 85-71 to the Bulldogs and then came out and defeated them 60-55 in their semi-final. They franked that with Saturday’s preliminary final win over North Shore Bombers.

The season ender for the flag at Blacktown International Sportspark this Saturday should be a cracker. It starts at 3pm, with the Reserve Grade starting at 10am. The Division Two and Three grand finals will be played at Henson Park on Saturday, with a 2.30pm start for the Twos and a 12.40pm start for the Threes.
