Sydney University student and Sydney University Athletics Club (SUAC) member, Milly Clark, has again made her mark among Australia’s best distance runners, placing 13th in the world at the 2016 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships on the 26th of March in Cardiff, Wales.

Clark shaved an impressive three minutes from her half marathon best, finishing the race just one second behind fellow selected Rio Olympic team member Eloise Wellings in a time of 1:10:48.

“I was given the greatest opportunity to run for my country and was rewarded with the most enriching experience of my life thus far – to place 13th in the world and run a huge PB is more than I could have asked for and a memory I’ll cherish forever,” wrote Clark on Instagram.

Coached by James FitzGerald, Clark’s huge PB is also a new club record for SUAC.

Successfully backing up from her scintillating 2.29.04, the 2nd fastest time ever by a female from NSW and a top ten all time performance by an Australian female, at the 2015 TCS Amsterdam Marathon, Clark’s most recent result confirms her elite world class membership.
