The Sydney Uni Flames have had a fantastic weekend at the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL) 2018 Finals, winning the Bronze medal game 73-51 over the Sydney Metro Blues.
Annabelle Lindsay posted a monster double-double of 40 points & 17 rebounds, with Liesl Tesch on 15 points, Brodie Palmer 8 points, Hannah Dodd 7, & Stephanie van Leeuwen on 3.
Special congratulations to Hannah Dodd who won the WNWBL 2018 season awards of 1 point MVP and ALL STAR FIVE.
Also a Special mention to Zeena Suavaga who was in the top 3 of the 2 point MVP category
Both Hannah Dodd & Annabelle Lindsay have been selected to represent the Australian Gliders at the IWBF 2018 World Cup Championships this August in Hamburg, Germany. 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams will compete for the title of World Champions.
