A goal just 12 minutes from the end of play by Club Captain Ant McInnes secured Men’s 2nds a 1-0 win over Sutherland on 12 September, and the club’s first Premier League trophy since 1992.

Congratulations to coach Chris Pelow, our own ex Irishman, and the entire team. No doubt there will be more.

Commiserations to the Under 11s, who lost a sees-saw Grand Final 0-3 to arch rivals GNS earlier in the day. Sydney Uni was on average at least a year younger and they stood on average at least 20cm shorter, but even so played their hearts out. Coach Greg, the players and parents should be extremely proud.

Commiserations also to Sydney Uni Women’s 2nds, who lost their Preliminary Final 1-2 despite some incredibly strong play. They look set for a great season in 2016.

Congratulations too to Ryde, which won Men’s 1st grade 3-2 in extra time. It was their first win for 54 years, and a crowd favourite.

The 2nd Grade victory is a massive result for the club and continues to show their development in Sydney’s top men’s grades.
