Sydney University Football Club has four players in the Wallabies squad to take on Ireland in a three-Test series starting on June 9.

Prop Tom Robertson, fullback Israel Folau, five-eighth Bernard Foley and halfback Nick Phipps have been selected in the 32-man squad. Former Sydney University player Folau Fainga’a has also been selected in the squad.

The first Test will be played at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, on Saturday week, with second Test scheduled for AAMI Park, Melbourne on June 16, and the third Test at Allianz Stadium, Sydney, on June 23.

Foley and Folau have each racked up 62 Tests for the Wallabies, Phipps has 61 under his belt and Robertson has played 18. Fainga’a, a five-eighth in a hooker’s body, started his First Grade career at Sydney University in 2015 and moved to the Canberra Vikings this season after being signed up by the Brumbies in the Super Rugby competition.

Meanwhile, SUFC’s Josh Kemeny was in the run-on Australian side that lost 26-21 to Wales at the World Rugby Under 20 Championships in Bezier, France, this morning (Thursday AEST).

Kemeny was selected at Number 8 for the Junior Wallabies’ opening Pool match, while SUFC team-mate, flanker Rory Suttor sat out the match.

Both sides scored two tries apiece, with Wales getting home on the boot of goalkicker Cai Evans.

Australia is in the tough Pool A of the Championships, which also includes New Zealand and Japan.

The Aussies have Pool matches against Japan at the same venue on Saturday 3 June, and New Zealand at Stade Aime-Giral, Perpignan, on Friday, 8 June.
