Sydney University Elite Athlete Program scholarship holder Sasha Ryan, and her sailing partner Chelsea Hall, finished in third place at the International 470 Class Junior World Championship, held in Medemblik in the Netherlands.
The competition was tough and featured a great variety of conditions – from complete glass outs with no wind, to massive waves and strong wind and rain – meaning it was a challenging event for all.
Ryan and Hall sailed consistently throughout the week and were thrilled to finish in third place overall, which is their greatest result to date as a team.
They are now in Nieuwpoort in Belgium preparing for the next event, which is the Junior European Championship.
