Sydney University Soccer Football Club still has three teams flying the flag as the finals whittle towards the season deciders.

The women’s Premier Division team has a Preliminary Final appointment with Blacktown Spartans at Valentine Sports Park on Wednesday night after they accounted for Manly United FC 5-4 in their semi-final.

A win could see them join the Under 13s, who set up a grand final meeting with FNSW Institute on August 30 after defeating North West Sydney Koalas 2-0 at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday.

Striker Stephanie Augoustis continued a fine season scoring both of the Sydney University goals, taking her to 16 from 20 matches played.

The SUSF Club’s women’s Reserve Grade dipped out of contention on Sunday when they went down 3-1 to Manly United FC at Valentine Sports Park.

Meanwhile, in the men’s Premier League Second Division, Sydney University Under 12s finished third on the ladder after 22 rounds.

Spirit FC won the Under 12 minor premiership on 55 points, with Hakoah City East FC (54), Sydney University (51), Central Coast FC (47), Northern Tigers (38) and Macarthur Rams FC (29) making up the top six.

Central Coast will meet Northern Tigers in an Elimination Semi-Final this Saturday, while Sydney University will play Hakoah Sydney City East in a Preliminary Semi-Final on Sunday.
