After seven rounds of competition in the Netball NSW Division 1 Waratah Cup, CSNA/Sydney Uni are sitting third on the ladder with a 5-2 record. Despite being slightly behind front runners St George, the club boasts the best team percentage in the league at 20.71%. With an extremely efficient and talented side, the team also sit top of the ladder in terms of points scored at 390, making an average of 55.7 goals per game. The team also impressively has the lowest points scored against. 

Sydney Uni unfortunately dropped their game last night against the Sutherland Shire, in a close contest which saw them go down by 4 goals, 47 – 51. Despite losing two games in extremely close encounters, the team has started the season strongly and should expect to remain in the top four given their current form. 

In exciting news for one of the teams players, Kristina Brice a shooter for Sydney Uni was named in the Australian Under 21 squad last week. She is one of five NSW representatives to be named in the squad following the conclusion of the 2015 Under 21 National Netball Championships played on the Sunshine Coast. 

Sydney Uni also has teams in division 2,4 and 5, who hold high positions on the ladder. Division 2 are currently placed second on the ladder, although they too fell in their most recent clash against the Central Coast last night by 6 goals, 40 -46. 

The clubs Division 4 side will play tonight against Illawarra. This will be a test for Sydney Uni as Illawarra are chasing their position on top of the ladder, the two sides only separated by percentage points. 

Division 5 had a dominant week this round, defeating Blacktown City 50 -21. This places them second on the ladder with a record of 6-1. 

Having started the season strongly across all divisions, Sydney Uni look set to be a club to contend with later down the track.
