Sydney University has propelled to third on the table, their highest ever position, after defeating Eastlake at Star Track Oval on Saturday, August 15.

The Students ran out the match with a 68-point win, 20.14 (134) to 11.10 (76), jumping into third on percentage over Aspley and assuring themselves a place in the finals for the first time since entering the competition in 2012.

Jacob Derickx booted four goals, while Lewis Stevenson and Tom Ayton both bagged three in the ladder-shaping Round 19.

The students have now won eight of their last ten games and will continue their charge against Southport at 12:00pm on Saturday August 22 at Fankhauser Reserve.
