Sydney University Football Club gained enough points over Randwick in the second last round of the regular season to clinch the Gregor George Cup and win their 15thsuccessive Club Championship title.

The Club Championship is regarded as the litmus test for the strongest club in Sydney rugby union, with points accumulated across all grades throughout the season. SUFC claimed the title with one round of the regular season remaining, proving the Club’s strength as a whole and demonstrating their ability to consistently perform across all Grades and Colts competitions.

Sydney University currently sit on 2847 points ahead of Warringah (2613) and Eastern Suburbs (2582).

Sydney University will also look to have more success throughout the finals series with most teams featuring at the business end of the season. In Grade, Uni are currently sitting on top of the Intrust Super Shute Shield ladder, sit in second place in second grade and fourth grade and currently sit in fourth place in third grade.

It is a fantastic effort by all involved in the club to achieve such an impressive milestone.
