2011 sees the return of Todd Louden, and the new addition of Todd Dammers, to the Sydney University Football Club (SUFC).

Louden, who has been assigned to the role of Head Coach, was the SUFC Director of Rugby for three years, from 2002 to 2004.

During his time at the Club Louden set up a number of programs that helped to enhance the rugby program offered.

Many of these still exist today, most notably the Elite Development Program.

Following a number of years away from the Club (during which time he coached in Japan, was Head Coach of Randwick, Attack Coach for Super Rugby Franchises the Bulls and Waratahs and then returned for three more seasons in Japan) Louden brings with him a wealth of knowledge and hopes to take the Sydney University rugby program to the next level.

“I am excited to be back at the Club and can’t wait for the 2011 season to commence”, said Louden.

“2011 is going to be a tough year with many of the rival clubs ready to push us off the podium, but the players and coaching staff are ready and looking forward to the challenges that lay before them.”

Dammers arrives at the Club to take on the role as the new Director of Rugby.

Over the past seven years Dammers has coached in both the Queensland Schools and Club competition, along with two separate coaching positions in Japan.

His previous coaching jobs include Ipswich Grammar School 1st XV (Forwards Coach) 2002-03, Meiji University Rugby Football Club (Forwards Coach) 2005-2006; St. Joseph’s Nudgee College Director of Rugby & Head Coach; Head Coach University of Queensland Premier Colts.

Todd’s last post was with Ricoh Black Rams Rugby Football Club as the Clubs Forwards Coach in the Japanese Top League.
