The Sydney University Wheelchair Flames basketball team moved into third position on the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League table with three wins over the weekend.

The wins, which now have the Flames sitting behind the VIC Dandenong Rangers and The To Be Active Western Stars, included a win over the previously undefeated Rangers 54-48. The Flames also defeated the Minecraft Comets and the Stacks Goudkamp Bears in a very exciting weekend of action at the Sydney Uni Sports and Aquatic Centre, where 10 games were played. The Flames only loss of the weekend came at the hands of the Western Stars, by six points.

The Flames will next play in Sydney during WNWBL Finals weekend at the North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre in Crows Nest, on September 23-25. The first game will be a play-off on Friday, September 23 at 8pm.
