Supporting suicide prevention and mental health in our community is critical. Join Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and the Elite Athlete Program this Mental Health Week for a number of on-campus events, aiming to raise awareness, promote education and help reduce stigma around mental health. At all events, information and support will be available courtesy of Lifeline, beyondblue, Black Dog Institute and The Butterfly Foundation.

MENTAL HEALTH & HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORT FORUM | TAG FAMILY FOUNDATION GRANDSTAND FUNCTION ROOM

Many Australians are affected by depression, anxiety and other mental health issues, and in recent years, the conversation around the prevalence of mental illness in elite sport has grown. See Former AFL Footballer, Jake Edwards, Former Diver and Olympian, Matt Mitcham and Australian Cricketer, Sarah Coyte discuss their unique, personal experience of mental health, followed by an open forum. Beverages and light refreshments will be provided. Purchase tickets for $12 HERE

Wednesday 11 October at 9.30am, 11.30am & 3.30pm 

MINDFULNESS ON THE GREEN | CADIGAL GREEN

Free-for-all outdoor BODYBALANCE session, combining Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates to promote the benefits of mindfulness, relaxation and soft movement. BYO towel or mat, or simply join in on the grass! Sessions will run for 30-minutes. 

UPDATE: The 9.30am class has been cancelled due to wet weather and the 11.30am & 3.30pm classes will take place in the Sports & Aquatic Centre Group Fitness Studio!

WATER FIGHT | THE SQUARE 

Bring your friends for some fun at our F (Functional) U (Understanding) N (Not) N (Necessary) water fight on the Square, right near the Arena. The perfect way to remind ourselves and each other the importance of having fun!
