Some major accomplishments during Gleeson's coaching career include coaching Open State and a National Champion at 1500m. He has also coached a number of NSW State Medallists at 800m. Individually, Gleeson coached four consecutive 1st place teams at NSW Club Championships, two 2nd place teams at National Club Championships, two 3rd place teams at National Club Championships and one 4th place team at National Club Championships. He has also coached more than 30 NSW State Relay Championship 1st place teams, an Australian Champion 4x800 relay team in 2005, two 1st place AUG teams, and a number of 2nd and 3rd place AUG teams.
