Access Swim – Learn To Swim
The Learn to Swim program is a one on one based lesson. The 30 minute lesson focuses on the students needs depending on the disability. Our goal is to be able to have our access swimmers working on the same skills as students in our mainstream program. We provide a friendly environment and start on the most basic survival skills before moving to stroke learning. For an application form and more information please visit our web site.
Access + Squad Program
The Access + Squad program is aimed at people with a disability who have progressed from Learn to Swim and are having integration difficulties. The criteria for entry to the program is that a person is able to swim at least 50m freestyle. Swimmers receive instruction in small groups and the aim is to develop the swim strokes through technique correction and also to develop endurance. This program will help prepare the swimmer for the transition into mainstream squad. The duration of the squad is 45 minutes.
