Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness continues to run its popular Sports Camps in school holidays, in conjunction with Camp Australia. The TWO weeks of camps cover eight different programs with 21 different camps. Sydney Uni Sports Camps are aimed at boys and girls, aged 6-16 years including sports such as tennis, swimming, multi-sport, netball, soccer, basketball, cricket and water polo. | ![]() |

1. Where are the camps held?The majority of Camps are held in the grounds of the University of Sydney (the exception being Hockey which is held at MLC Burwood). Please Refer to Camp Brochure and relevant maps for directions. Generally:
2. What sports are covered in the Multi Sport Camp?Each day of multi has 5 sessions per day. Over the week the Sports typically covered include: Lacrosse, Judo, Archery, Tae Kwon Do, Soccer, Volleyball, Slide Hockey, Swimming (8yrs+), Touch football, Basketball, Fencing, athletics, softball, AFL, Ultimate Frisbee, European Handball, gymnastics, cricket, wrestling, netball and modified games. Each period, the time table will change. We have 2 guest instructors come in each day covering the specialist sports such as Judo and Fencing. 3. Are lunches provided on the camps?No, with the exception of a BBQ on the last day of Soccer, Rugby League, Rugby Union, AFL, Cricket and Multi Sport (Fri-only for multi HK, last day of multi St Andrews). 4. Who are the staff on the camps?On Sport camps – Level 1 or 2 sport specific coaches who have played or coached the particular sport at an extremely high level, they are often members of Sydney Uni Sporting clubs or representative teams. Our coaches are either qualified teachers or 3rd or 4th yrs studying to become either primary teachers or PE teachers. All facility staff and coaches are Senior First Aid qualified. 5. What will the children be doing on the camps?6. What will the children receive when they arrive and depart the camp?7. Is aftercare provided?Yes, but only for Multi Sport, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Cricket, AFL, Soccer and girls soccer. Price is $20 per child per day. You can book in through CA or on the day of the camp. Those in Rugby, Soccer, AFL must ensure they bring a change of footwear to wear indoors. 8. How do I qualify for a Family discount?Please call Camp Australia or visit www.campaustralia.com.au and book the children in together. 9. What snacks will the children receive?Children will receive fresh fruit (seasonal) from Sydney Markets for daily snacks. It is advisable that they bring along additional snacks such as muesli bars to maintain their energy throughout the day. On sports camps children will have 30 minutes allocated for lunch and it is thus advisable that they bring along enough lunch to sustain them for the afternoon session. 10. What else do they need to bring?11. How do I qualify for a discount?Refer to brochure for available discounts and requirements. 12. Are there any special requirements for the Swimming or Waterpolo camps?Swimming: All participants must be able to swim all competitive strokes (min 25m) Participants are required to bring their own flippers, goggles, swimmers and towel. Waterpolo: Participants must be able to swim 50m freestyle competently and be between the age of 12-16. 13. Are there any age limits?All of the camps offered are for 6-16 with the exception of the following:
