Juniors will benefit from a fully integrated professional approach that will focus on each junior developing into the best player they can be.

Ensuring the highest quality of coaching, group lessons have a junior to coach ratio of 6 to 1.
Each junior is graded as per our comprehensive grading structure. To have an understanding of lesson structures & grading please refer attached junior grading sheet.
Group lessons follow a set structure ensuring learning competencies lesson after lesson. Please refer lesson outlines attached to understand how each junior will benefit from our structured training program.
Program for juniors who have progressed to the full court using red & orange coloured tennis balls. Beginner lessons are suited for juniors who have progressed from our modified programmes or are just starting to play. Recommended for ages 7-10 years. Available Monday to Saturday.
Intermediate SquadSuited for juniors who have progressed from beginner level. Players use green intermediate balls as lessons start to focus on rally skills plus continued development of strokes. Recommended for ages 8-12 years. Available Monday, Tuesday & Saturday.
Program suited for juniors that have progressed from the intermediate stage using full compression balls. Advanced lessons focus on tactics & playing skills, whilst ensuring skill development. Recommended for ages 8-16 years. Available Monday & Thursday.
Footwork & Agility Training for Tennis
Specific footwork & agility training is available for all juniors. Training includes analysis of specific movements, development of patterns, plyometrics and athletic running drills.
Groups of up to eight (8) juniors with one instructor. Available Monday to Thursday.
Following international trends the Sydney Uni Tennis has revolutionized its approach by using modified tennis equipment for group coaching, which enables effective technique & game play strategies for all juniors whatever their standard & age. For all groups there will be progressive stages and matches the individual skill level of each player. These three progressive stages are represented by three different coloured balls - red, orange and green (pictured) plus the use of full compression balls.
With the use of modifies equipment and varying ball compression types, juniors will achieve the following in the Sydney Uni Tennis program.
Play on a scaled-down court that is appropriate to their size, strength and ability
Develop tactical awareness from an early age while learning fundamental technical skills
Learn competitive and mental skills, which will help them improve their tennis
Progress to full tennis in a system that is appropriate to their developmental needs
Compete under the same conditions age to standard.
Sydney Uni Tennis is proud to be recognised as a deliver of the nationally-recognised starter program. Aviva Tennis Hot Shots is Tennis Australia's official starter tennis program for kids aged 12 and under. From the first moment children participate in the Aviva Tennis Hot Shots program, they will actually ‘play the game' of tennis. This means that players are able to serve, rally and score in an exciting competition format. Sydney Uni Tennis is an Australian leader conducting Aviva Hots Shots for Sydney juniors.
Juniors who join Aviva Tennis Hot Shots will:
Upon registration, each player will be welcomed to tennis with an Aviva Tennis Hot Shots player pack. Each registered player will also go into the draw to win one of the premium Aviva Tennis Hot Shots player packs and be provided with the chance to play on court during future Australian Open Series events.

Pop Tennis is our junior development starter program designed for children aged 4-7 years of age. This gross motor and tennis program is designed for children between the ages of 4 to 7 years. Developing balance, ball, racquet awareness, basic strokes and direction, through participating, learning and an active games based approach.
