Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness offers students, staff and community members THREE Social Netball Competitions per week - on Tuesdays and Sundays. In 2018, we've introduced an exciting new comp held on Wednesdays, the Fast Five Competition! It features dynamic rule changes, rolling substitutions, power plays and super shots.
Lunchtime Social Sport is open to Sydney Uni students, staff and the general public. Grab you friends or colleagues and enter into any of our compeititions. Some of the competitions that we run are Futsal, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis and Touch Football.
Each year since 1939, Sydney Uni students and staff have competed against each other for the honour and pride of their faculty in a variety of sports. Competitions include touch footy, soccer, netball, basketball, cricket and tennis to name a few. Points are awarded to the winners and place-getters of each competition whilst participation points are also given to all faculties whose students compete. The faculty with the most points at the end of the year wins and is awarded the Emily Small Shield!
Intercollegiate sport is an integral part of Sydney Uni's long and rich sporting history; providing residents of St. Andrew's, St. Paul's, Sancta Sophia, St. John's, Wesley and The Women's Colleges with opportunities to represent their college in various sporting events.
