Sydney University maintained their unbeaten run in the 2018 NEAFL competition with a 58-point win over Northern Territory Thunder in their Round 8 clash at Blacktown International Sportspark.

Jacob Derickx landed five of the 18 goals kicked by Sydney University in the 119-61 win, with Tristan Davies contributing three 3 and Austin Lucy, Sam Fong, Adam Gulden and Tom Young each bagging two.

Sydney University head the NEAFL ladder on 28 points, with Brisbane (20), Southport (20), Sydney Swans (12), Canberra (12) and Aspley (12) making up the top six.

Sydney University will meet Sydney Swans in a Round 9 clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday. The match will kick off at 4.05pm as a preliminary to the Swans v Carlton match which starts at 7.50pm.

Meanwhile, Sydney University hold down third place on the Sydney Premier Division AFL ladder.

Unbeaten North Shore Bombers top the ladder on 32 points after eight rounds, with Pennant Hills Demons (24), Sydney University (20), UNSW-Eastern Suburbs (16), East Coast Eagles (16) and Manly-Warringah Wolves (16) making up the top six.

The Students will host Pennant Hills at Sydney University Oval this Saturday.

Unbeaten Macquarie University head the Women’s Premier League ladder on 28 points, with UNSW-Eastern Suburbs (24), Auburn-Penrith Giants (16) and Southern Power (12) making up the top four. Sydney University are fifth on eight points.
