Sydney University will need to overcome a huge mental hurdle if they’re to collect the 2019 Sydney Premier Division AFL title at Blacktown International Sports Park on Saturday.

They have to account for bogey side UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs, the minor premiers who have beaten Sydney University in their three meetings this season.

They first met in Round 5 when UNSW kicked 10-5: 65 to account for Sydney University’s 9.9: 63 at Henson Park, while their Round 17 encounter at Sydney University Oval saw UNSW run out 70-27 winners.

The Kensington crew also accounted for Sydney University 105-60 in their semi-final at BISP on 31 August.

Sydney University then came out and accounted for Pennant Hills 75-71 in the preliminary final at BISP to earn another crack at UNSW – in the season decider.

Sydney University’s Division One side will open grand final day at  BISP when they take on Pennant Hills Demons in the season decider starting at 9am.

Meanwhile, Sydney University’s Premier Reserve Division side dipped out of their quest for a title when St George Dragons accounted for them 107-61 in their qualifying final.

Sydney University’s Under 19 Division One side made it through to the grand final only to go down 66-32 to UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs at BISP on Sunday.

And Sydney University’s Premier Division Women’s side made it through to to preliminary final where they were defeated 48-14 by  East Coast Eagles at BISP on Saturday.
