Sydney University men’s and women’s water polo teams made it a clean-sweep over UTS Balmain Tigers in their Round 5 matches at the Peter Montgomery Pool on Thursday and Sunday.

The men’s team won 8-7 on Thursday evening, with Goran Tomasevic heading the scoring with three goals and Ivan Bebic and Johnno Cotterill  each posting doubles.

They backed that up on Sunday night with a 10-7 result, with Cotterill leading the way three goals and Tomasevic, George Ford and Chris Dyson each scoring doubles.

Meanwhile, Sydney University’s women’s team kept their unbeaten run alive with a 7-4 result on Thursday and a 13-6 outcome on Sunday.

Keesja Gofers led the Thursday scoring with a treble, while Danielle Morrissey posted four in Sunday’s big win.

Sydney Uni Lions 10 (Johnno Cotterill 3, Goran Tomasevic 2, George Ford 2, Chris Dyson 2, Scott Dyson) defeated UTS Balmain Tigers 7 (Ciaran James 2, Harry Sanderson 2,Daniel Munk, Gordon Marshall, Matthew Hannan) at Peter Montgomery Pool, Sydney University Sports and Fitness Centre, on Sunday afternoon.

 

Women: Sydney Uni Lions 7 (Keesja Gofers 3, Matilda Kearns 2, Isobel Bishop, Hannah Buckling) defeated UTS Balmain Tigers 4 (Rowie Webster 3, Alice Williams) at Peter Montgomery Pool, Sydney University Sports and Fitness Centre, on Thursday evening.

 

 

Sydney Uni Lions 13 (Danielle Morrissey 4, Isobel Bishop 3, Hannah Buckling 2, Matilda Kearns 2, Grace Coleman, Keesja Gofers) defeated UTS Balmain Tigers 6 (Alice Williams 2, Pascalle Casey, Katie Dudley, Chloe Wilcox, Stephanie El Safty) at Peter Montgomery Pool, Sydney University Sports and Fitness Centre, on Sunday afternoon.
