Sydney Uni Athletics Club’s (SUAC) Jack Colreavy made a huge breakthrough over the weekend running the Lake Biwa Marathon in the stunning time of 2.18.32.

The time for Colreavy was a World Championships qualifier, a SUAC club record as well as a personal best slashing a huge 4.45 of his previous best marathon. The run was only Colreavy’s 2nd marathon, no doubt exciting times ahead.

At the NSW MILE Championship James Nipperess was the winner of the Silver medal with Dylan McCuaig-Walton 6th. In the women’s race Audrey Amiya-Hall was 6th.

Also in Sydney the NSW Masters Athletics Championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park. SUAC athletes took home 6 gold medals from 6 contested events with Natalie Phillips ( 100/200), Larissa Stanley (800), Brett Hall (800) Rich Haggie (400) and Piyush Kumar (100) winning their respective events.

SUAC athletes will this weekend travel to Canberra for the Canberra Classic.
