Sydney University Cricket Club is still on target for six titles after nailing down the minor premierships in four of the five NSW Premier Cricket grades along with the Metropolitan Cup minor premiership at the weekend.

First Grade secured the Belvidere Cup minor premiership with their limited overs win over Western Suburbs at University Oval on Saturday.

The Students finished the 15-round season proper on 73 points, with Penrith (69), UTS North Sydney (67), Sydney (62), defending premiers Parramatta (50) and Sutherland (46) making up the top six to contest the qualifying finals.

Opener Isaac Taylor (57) and No.3 James Psarakis (46) led the way with the willow for Western Suburbs, while Ryan McElduff continued a solid season, top-scoring with an unbeaten 65 for the hosts.

Sydney University Second Grade won the Albert Cup minor premiership, suffering one defeat through the season to finish on 90 points. Parramatta (69), Sydney (66), Bankstown (63), Eastern Suburbs (62) and Penrith (54) make up the top six.

The Students also headed the Third Grade Mitchell Cup ladder on 80 points, with Eastern Suburbs (76), Manly-Warringah (63), Bankstown (57), Parramatta (54) and Northern District (54) making up the top six.

The Fourth Grade Reid Cup ladder was also headed by Sydney University on 76 points, with St George (74), Eastern Suburbs (60), Manly-Warringah (60), Gordon (60) and Penrith (57) making up the top six.

A late surge from Fifth Grade resulted in Sydney University finishing fifth on the Sherwood Cup ladder that was headed by Sutherland on 72 points, with Mosman (72), UNSW (70), Fairfield-Liverpool (70), Sydney University (58) and Penrith (58) making up the top six.

Sydney University’s Metropolitan Cup side also collected the minor premiership after 16 rounds, finishing on 81 points, with Penrith (72), Warringah (65), Gordon (64), North West Sydney (59) and Blacktown (55) making up the top six.

The qualifying finals start this Saturday, with Sydney University First Grade hosting Sutherland at University Oval.
