Former Australian ODI representative Peter Forrest cracked an unbeaten 164 in Hawkesbury’s first innings total of 313 in their Round 7 NSW Premier Grade match against competition leaders Sydney University at Owen Earle Oval on Saturday.
Forrest’s 224-ball ton included 20 boundaries and a 160-run, seventh-wicket partnership with Jake Wholohan (26).
Sydney University lost the early wicket of opened Nicholas Walker, who was bowled by Aidan Van Den Nieuwboer for a first ball duck, to go to stumps at 1-7.
Meanwhile, Third Graders Jack Hill and Charles Litchfield posted centuries as Sydney University went to stumps at 3-312 in their match against Hawkesbury at Bensons Lane 2.
Opener Hill cracked 123, while Litchfield posted 106.
The other University century-maker at the weekend was Frankie Nicklin in the women’s Brewer Shield (Under 18) match against Penrith at David Phillips North.
Batting at No.4, Franklin hit 18 boundaries in her unbeaten 100 off 82 balls as Universities posted 9-195 in reply to Penrith’s 118.
