Sydney University’s
Emma-Kate Dewhurst has been named Goalkeeper of the Year for the Arrive Alive Women’s Premier Club
Championship
by Football NSW.

The award was
presented at the 2008 Platinum Medal Dinner Awards, NSW women’s football’s annual
night of nights, at Olympic Park on Friday night.

The reward is welcome recognition of Dewhurst’s reliable shot-stopping
skills. Dewhurst is a natural athlete, who has also played softball for Sydney
University and competed in shotput at the Australian University Games.

The Platinum Medal was
awarded to Macarthur Rams’ Stephanie Haim, who also picked up the Debbie Tait
Memorial Trophy for most goals in the season.

Sydney University
finished sixth in the overall standings in the 2008 Arrive Alive Women’s
Premier League.
