Sydney Uni Tennis’ Eva Lozitskaya has wrapped up an extremely successful campaign at the National Clay Court Championships in Canberra.

The event is hosted by Tennis Australia for the U12 and U14 age divisions.

Coached by Wayne Miller since she was six-years-old and involved in Sydney Uni’s program for a year, Eva went into the event unseeded, and was able to reach the semi-finals before narrowly falling to No. 2 ranked player Zahra Arthur (7/6, 6/3).

The hard-fought match lasted for two and a half hours. Full results here

Coach Miller praised Eva’s ‘amazing’ performance at the event.

“Eva this year has worked so very hard at her game both on court and off court,” he said.

“From the technical, physical and mental areas. Some disappointments along the journey but this result shows that with this type of dedication the results will come.”

Eva will now play off for 3rd/4th position.
