The UTS-Sydney University Volleyball team secured their place in the grand final of the Australian Women’s Volleyball League with four convincing wins over the weekend in Adelaide.
The Australian Women’s Volleyball League is the national championship for women’s volleyball, drawing together the best players from around the country.
UTS-Sydney University secured their place in the gold medal match after defeating South Australia 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22), University Blues (Victoria) 3-0 (25-17, 29-27, 25-20), Queensland 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-17) and Western Australia 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-18).
The UTS-Sydney University squad went through the season with 11 wins and one loss.
They will contest the grand final at the Sydney University Sports and Fitness Centre on Sunday, July 27.
