Elite Athlete Program member Nicola Maitland has captained her team to a gold medal at the National Softball Championships this week, after beating out Queensland in a tight battle, winning 4 -2.
NSW finished with a record of 6 -1, only dropping one game to their grand final competitors Queensland on day one of the championships (3 -4).

NSW 1 defeated NZ 0
The Championships will be held in Redlands, Queensland and ran until the 27th of April.
