Whirlwind innings from opener Nathan Price and all-rounder Daniel Sams guided Randwick-Petersham to the 2015-16 Twenty20 Cup in the grand final against Sydney University at Coogee Oval on Sunday.

Price cracked six boundaries and a six in his 45 from 25 deliveries, while Sams belted 43 from 33 deliveries as the Randy-Petes posted in imposing 7-166 off their 20 overs.

Anthony Sams (28) and Shaun Eaton (23) also assisted the cause, while Tom Kierath (2-13), Nigel Cowell (1-25) and Liam Robertson (1-33) were the most economical of the Sydney University bowlers.

Despite a 71-run stand between opener Nick Larkin and No.2 Liam Robertson, the Students were never in the hunt in their reply of 7-140.

Skipper Larkin hit five boundaries in his 61 from 48 deliveries, while Robertson hit 41 off 28 deliveries. They were the only two to reached double figures as wickets tumbled at regular intervals.

Sams also starred with the ball, taking 2-18 off his four overs, while Soumil Chhibber (1-21) and Nathan Price (1-13) kept the runs to a minimum.
