The trusty boot of Daniel Arahu helped Sydney University to a 30-all draw with Penrith Brothers in the Round 6 Sydney Shield rugby league clash at Hickeys Park on Sunday.

While the hosts scored six tries to five, Arahu converted each of the Students’ tries to level the match that went down to the wire.

Jack O’Brien, Brock Pelligra, Kyle McLean, Matthew Long crossed for first-half tries to give the Students at 24-16 lead at the break after Chad Rennie, Sitiveni Logaivau and Jake Tago scored for Brothers.

When Joshua Boumelhem scored for Sydney University seven minutes after the restart the lead pushed out to 30-16 and a second win for the season was on the cards.

But Brothers hit back with tries from Patrick Hinder and Kilif Tia Kilifi to take the score to 30-26.

Rennie, who had opened Brothers account with a try in the third minute, left it until the 76th minute to level the scores. But Cody Smith missed the conversion and the sides settled on a point apiece.
