St Marys ran in six tries to three in their 24-17 Round 11 State League win over Sydney University at St Marys Leagues Stadium on Sunday.

Sydney University began well with a fourth minute try to Evander Swann that was countered by a Justin Jones try for the hosts.

Matthew Long edged the Students ahead with a try midway through the half, but Jones hit back with his second touchdown. Lewis Habkouk landed both conversions for the Students and they went to the halftime break leading 12-8.

Mose Feilo levelled the scores with a try but Mutu Stanley edged the Students ahead again with a touchdown that was converted by Habkouk.

The visitors finished strongly with another try from Jones, a second for Feilo and another from Joe Vaegaau.

Sydney University will host Cabramatta at Henson Park this Saturday, with a 5pm kick-off.

Meanwhile, TAFE NSW Polecats defeated Sydney University 30-24 in a tight Round 5 Tertiary Championship clash at Blackmore Oval on Saturday.
