Sydney University Soccer Football Club still have their sights on four titles after a successful weekend in age division finals.
Sydney University moved through to the semi-finals of the NPL 3 NSW Under 20 men’s competition with a 2-nil elimination final win over SD Raiders at Arlington Oval on Saturday.
Andrew Casali and Conor Quilligan scored for the Students to keep their grand final dreams alive.
The Students will meet minor premiers Gladesville Ryde Magic in one semi-final, with St George City and Hawkesbury City contesting the other for grand final berths.
Having finished first and second on the Under 18 men’s ladder Gladesville Ryde Magic and Sydney University had a week off while the elimination finals were played.
Sydney University will meet Hawkesbury City in one semi-final and Gladesville Ryde Magic and St George City will fight out the other to determine grand final berths.
Sydney University will also contest the Under 16 and Under 13 grand finals in theNPL 2 Youth competition.
The Students defeated Stanmore Hawks 3-1 in the Under 16 preliminary final to earn a grand final berth against St George City. Nathan Pepe, Max Chen and John McCoubrie scored for the winners with Christopher Karavotas slotting one home for Stanmore at Arlington Oval on Saturday.
Vincent Gool, Lachlan Bell and Diego Goni scored for Sydney University Under 13s in their 3-all preliminary final draw with Dunbar Rovers on Saturday. Noah Shiels, Xaander Gooley and Nicholas Hansen Weeks goaled for the Rovers.
The draw was enough to earn the Students a grand final meeting with Camden Tigers on Saturday.
