Amy Harrison bagged a double to help Sydney University to their first win of the season in the National Premier League Women’s Division 1 soccer competition.
Sydney University accounted for Emerging Jets 2-0 at Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday.
Undefeated Football NSW head the Division 1 ladder on nine points after three rounds of the 2015 competition. North Shore Mariners (7) and Manly United FC (7) hold down second and third positions, with Macarthur Rams FC (6), North West Sydney Koalas (4) and Sydney University SFC (4) making up the top six.
Stephanie Kontakos and Jessica Cirignano scored in Sydney University Under 17’s 2-0 win over Emerging Jets, while Charlie Rule, Stephanie Augoustis and Mary Conrecode were the scorers in the Under 13’s 3-0 win. Sydney University’s Reserve Grade and Under 15s had byes at the weekend.
Sydney University are 4th on the Reserve Grade ladder, 5th on the Under 17 ladder, 8th on the Under 15 ladder and 2nd on the Under 13 ladder.
