Sydney University dropped to fourth on the NPL NSW Women’s soccer ladder with a 2-1 loss to NWS Koalas at Blacktown Football Park on Sunday.

Emma Stanbury landed a double for the visitors in the upset win, while Nickoletta Flannery scored for the Students, taking her tally to seven for the season.

Illawarra Stingrays head the NPL NSW ladder on 36 points, with Macarthur Rams (35), Football NSW Institute (35), Sydney University (33), Manly United (31) and NWS Koalas (31) making up the top six after 17 rounds. Sydney University have a game in hand.

Sydney University head the Reserve Grade ladder, are second on the Under 17 ladder, third on the Under 15 ladder and fifth on the Under 14 ladder, putting them in a strong position to win the Club Championship.

Under 15: NWS Koalas 2 (Tarsha Wayne, Mia Domine) defeated Sydney University 0 at Blacktown Football Park on Sunday.

Under 14: Sydney University 4 (Alessia Dal Pane, Scarlett Graham, Sarah Farrow, Tayla Cvetkovski) defeated NWS Koalas 0 at Blacktown Football Park on Sunday.
