Sydney University’s five teams in the NPL NSW Women’s soccer competition are all in the top four after five round of the 2019 season.

Sydney University First Grade’s 7-nil win over North Shore Mariners at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday kept them in fourth place on the ladder, two points off the competition leaders.

Football NSW Institute head the First Grade ladder on 12 points, with Sydney Olympic (11), Illawarra Stingrays (11), Sydney University (10), Northern Tigers (10) and NWS Koalas (8) making up the top six.

Sydney University’s Reserve Grade remain undefeated, heading the ladder on 15 points, with NWS Koalas (15), Manly United (12), Emerging Jets (9) Blacktown Spartans (9) and Illawarra Stingrays making up the top six.

Sydney University lie second behind NWS Koalas in the Under 17 competition, second behind Emerging Jets in the Under 15s and fourth in the Under 14s.

Meanwhile, Sydney University lie third on the NPL 3 NSW Men’s competition ladder after five rounds.

Gladesville Ryde Magic head the ladder on 13, with Dulwich Hill (9), Sydney University (9), SD Raiders (7), Parramatta (6) and Bankstown City (6) making up the top six.

Sydney University are seventh on the Under 20 ladder which is headed by Gladesville Ryde Magic, and seventh on the Under 18 ladder which is headed by Dunbar Rovers.

In the NPL 2 NSW Youth competition, Sydney University’s Under 16s lie fourth, the Under 15s lie sixth, the Under 14s are 12th and the Under 13s are third.

Under 15: North Shore Mariners 1 (Riley Welsh) defeated Sydney University SFC 0 at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday.

 

Under 14: Sydney University SFC 3 (Frances Lechner, Luca Davine, Kate Woosnam) defeated North Shore Mariners 1 (Evie Hatzantonis) at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday.

 

NPL 3 NSW Men’s competition – Round 5

First Grade: Sydney University SFC 2 (Asha Phillips, Ian Hillier) defeated Hawkesbury City FC 0 at Proctor Park on Saturday.

 

Under 20: Hawkesbury City FC 2 (Luke Zahra, Callum Elliott) defeated Sydney University SFC 1 (James Reed) at Proctor Park on Saturday.

 

Under 18: Hawkesbury City FC 3 (Jacob Botros 2, Vincent D’Ermilio) defeated Sydney University SFC 0 at Proctor Park on Saturday.
