Sydney Uni Sports & Aquatic Centre and the Arena Sports Centre will receive an enormous boost to their respective cardio spaces with the installation of 71 pieces of new Life Fitness machinery in February 2019.

The Sports & Aquatic Centre will have nearly all of its cardio equipment replaced, welcoming 14 Treadmills, 8 Cross Trainers, 5 Upright Bikes, 2 Recumbent Bikes and 2 Group Exercise Cycles.

Four Evalation Powermills Climbers, 2 Total Body Arc Trainers, 2 My Ride VX Personal Bikes, 2 Assault Air Runners and 2 Ski Ergs will also be added. Learn more about the new pieces of equipment here.

The Arena will see 10 Treadmills, 8 Cross Trainers, 2 Total Body Arc Trainers, 2 Powermill Climbers, 5 Upright Bikes and 1 Recumbent Bike introduced.

The suite of new equipment will enable members to enjoy easy connectivity, customisation and app integration with each console possessing an improved digital capacity.

The uplift will see the Sports & Aquatic Centre cardio room closed between 4-8 February, 2019 to complete the four-stage install, beginning with the removal of existing equipment and carpet, followed by the installation of new flooring.

Data cables and electrical work will then follow (to cater to the new equipment positioning) before the final install.

The Arena Sports Centre cardio room will only be closed on 7 February, 2019.

During this period, members will still be able to access the weights room in both centres with minimal interruptions.

Please note it is only the cardio spaces that will be closed in each centre on the above dates.

We look forward to reopening the space on 9 February for our members to enjoy.
