Sydney Uni sit at the top of the ladder after 3 rounds of the Sydney Women’s AFL competition.

The women have scored an outstanding 330 points in two rounds of competition (as they had a BYE in Round 3) and have only conceded 7 points in total.

Sydney Uni defeated Wollongong in Round 1, 33.13 – 211 to 0.0-0. In Round 2 they defeated UNSW Stingrays 17.17 – 119 to 1.1 – 7.

So far Marie Keating has been terrorising the opponents backline to score 23 goals in two games. With more games than ever before the SWAFL could project a century of goals breaking the old record set in 2008, of 97 goals, by Keating as well.

The Newtown Breakaways sit second on the ladder, having scored 149 points and conceding 37. That means that the Sydney Uni ladies have scored double the amount of points and conceded approximately one fifth of the points.

Sydney Uni will face off against the Newtown Breakaways this Saturday in Round 4 of the SWAFL competition.

Head on down to Mahoney Park to see the ladies kick off at 12 noon.
