Sydney Uni finished fourth overall at the UniSport Nationals Snow in Thredbo, an event where athletes compete in alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboard and cross country skiing. 

Over the course of the week, the athletes tallied three first places, six second places and five third places in various events.

They were also awarded the Pennant for Women’s Overall Cross Country and the Bob Lawton Perpetual Trophy for combined Cross Country results across men and women.

DAY 1 – Sunday 25th Aug

Snowboard Rails (Men): Chris Ballas – 1st Place

Freestyle Ski Rails (Male): Jonah van Wachem – 3rd Place

DAY 2 – Monday 26th Aug

Cross Country Individual (Female): Jillian Colebourn – 1st Place

Cross Country Individual (Female): Kate Spencer – 2nd Place

Cross Country Relay (Women): Jillian Colebourn, Nat Turner, Kate Spencer – 1st Place

Cross Country Relay (Men): Matt Hutchinson, Jonah van Wachem, Jack Freer – 2nd Place

DAY 3 – Tuesday 27th Aug

Alpine Slalom (Men): Tom Punch – 3rd Place

Snowboard Slalom (Female): Sienna Doolan – 3rd Place

Snowboard Slopestyle (Men): Chris Ballas – 3rd Place

DAY 4 – Wednesday 28th Aug

Skier Cross (Men): Alex Podgorski – 3rd Place

Boarder Cross (Women): Sienna Doolan – 2nd Place

DAY 5 – Thursday 29th Aug

Alpine Super G (Men): Oliver Thompson – 2nd Place

Snowboard Super G (women): Sienna Doolan – 2nd Place

Moguls (Men): Chester Burns – 2nd Place
