Sydney Uni swimmers walked away with exceptional results at the NSW Senior State Short Course Meet, highlighted by an amazing strike rate of personal bests.

In the age group swim results, 18 of the 25 swims were a personal best, with Robert Kanaley contributing six personal best times in his seven races, while Andrew Hong reached the same feat along with a bronze medal in the 200m butterfly.

Their efforts were backed up by Marco Pagella, who beat his personal best from a fortnight ago to secure a silver medal in the 100m freestyle.

In the Varsity group swim results, the team clinched two gold, one silver and one bronze medal with nine other top ten finishes.

The star of the show was Sarah Welfare after winning a medal in eahc of her freestyle events with gold in the 200m, silver in the 100m and bronze in the 400m.

Cormac Guthrie took home the remaining gold medal in the 800m freestyle from the second fastest heat with a 20-second personal best time.

Overall, the Varsity group achieved a 78 per cent strike rate for personal best times.
