Sydney University have claimed a historic three-peat at the 2019 Australian Boat Race as Sydney Uni Boat Club’s athletes dominated for the third year in a row.

It was the sixth year in a row that the men’s team have been victorious and the third consecutive year the women’s team enjoyed glory on the water.

Sydney Uni won all but one race – the Women’s College race, where Ormond College defeated a gallant Wesley College crew in the final 100m. Sydney Uni also won the mixed novice race which was a new addition to the racing schedule for the year.
