Join Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and the Elite Athlete Program this Mental Health Week for a number of on-campus events, aiming to raise awareness, promote education and help reduce stigma around mental health. Many Australians are affected by depression, anxiety and other mental health issues, and in recent years, the conversation around the prevalence of mental illness in elite sport has grown. See Former AFL Footballer, Jake Edwards, Former Diver and Olympian, Matt Mitcham and Australian Cricketer, Sarah Coyte discuss their unique, personal experience of mental health, followed by an open forum. MINDFULNESS ON THE GREEN | CADIGAL GREEN
Free-for-all outdoor BODYBALANCE session, combining Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates to promote the benefits of mindfulness, relaxation and soft movement. BYO towel or mat, or simply join in on the grass! Sessions will run for 30-minutes.
